Versace Spring-Summer 2008

Donatella Versace dedicated her Spring-Summer 2008 collection to the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama describing the candidate as the "man of the moment". The collection is filled with tailored suits and scarves instead of ties.


Obama himself has described his approach to wardrobe as "fairly standard". Versace described the Obama-dedicated style as one designed for "a relaxed man who doesn't need to flex muscles to show he has power." The new Versace suit has a structured jacket softened by a double lapel or no lapel at all and slim trousers with slick techno-fabric sheen.
